Great article by Patrick Buchanan and part of a theme we are developing about the future global economy. Given the preeminence and respect given the current CCP economic model (Chinese Communist Party), what is emerging is a combination of socialism (state ownership) and fascism (state regulation).

The model is clean because it is based on a centrally planned economy and very attractive to those types with high power needs. However there is just one problem - it doesn't work.

Patrick offers an interesting insight on why the rich and big business are eager to get in bed with the political zeitgeist overtaking the world. The United States is about to introduce a basic income where people will not have to work - oh yeah they are already doing that with covid19 checks and unemployment. The rich and big business are engaged in 'rent seeking' where their money buys access and protection. Notice who is left out of this power play - you, entrepreneurs who employ 57% of the globe.
