The Truth About Covid19 - Don't let The Bureaucrats and Politicians Give You A Line Of Bull.

Data, We Don't Need Any Stinking Data!
  • Children under 9 - 0% reported fatalities without preexisting conditions;
  • 10 - 19: 0% chance in the developed world except China @.2% reported fatalities without preexisting conditions;
  • Anyone under 50 has the same mortality rate as last years flu;
  • At risk above normal starts at 70;
  • People without any pre-existing health issues and under 50 - .9% reported fatalities without preexisting conditions;;
  • Fatality rates of other flu's: SARS 10%, MERS 34%, Seasonal Flu .2%.

WTF?
Further More: Herd Immunity - "Herd immunity (or community immunity) occurs when a high percentage of the community is immune to a disease (through vaccination and/or prior illness), making the spread of this disease from person to person unlikely. Even individuals not vaccinated (such as newborns and the immunocompromised) are offered some protection because the disease has little opportunity to spread within the community. " APIC

Once a population reaches 50%, herd immunity kicks in. That means after forced isolation new cases are built into that solution. Imagine that politicians creating the problems that reinforces their bad decisions.

IND (I'm Not Done)
  • Eighty-five percent of reporting jurisdictions report a steep decline in Wuhan virus cases, despite almost 70 million tests.  This number of tests is greater than those administered in all of Europe combined.
  • Nationwide (US), cases declined by 6%.
  • Test positivity is 6.5%, which is a 71% reduction from April and a 15% reduction from mid-July.
  • Hospitalizations have been halved since April.
  • Nursing home and long-term care facilities have 1% of the U.S. population but account for almost 50% of fatalities.

Your Turn - If All Behavior is Rational - Explain This
So let's see what we have here if decisions are fact based. No school should fail to open because none of the children, except with cardiovascular problems, will suffer from COVID19. Teachers under 50 have the same health challenges as last year with Flu Type A and B. Yet we are not opening schools - why? Any guesses?

So, your contention is that all those statistics by John Hopkins, and so many other sources are fake news? Controlled by political forces? That, while we only represent 4% of the world population but have over a quarter of COVID-19 known cases world-wide even with inadequate testing is driven by political opportunity? That the reality of our 31.5 million citizens over the age of 65 are expendable? That teachers and students are not going to die if they catch this virus, but can then transmit it to at-risk population should not be a factor in considering school openings? I agree with one part of your blog...WTF??? Herd immunity will still infect people at risk once while we reach 50% infection rates, and that seems quite likely with the incompetence of this government. No other nation has the infection rate we do, nor the mortality rate based on population. Forgetting that both SARS and H1N1 was highly infectious, it was also adequately dealt with. Conspiracy theories abound but numbers are real.

I simply looked at the government data published by NIH on the demographics for cases and fatalities. Unless somebody is lying, the data is what it is.

As for your contention about people over 65 being expendable, you're responding to a comment not made. I didn't offer a solution but if I had if would look like this: the high risk people - pre-existing conditions and over 70 should be tested and self-isolate. The remainder of the population should go about their business and be intelligent about relations and friends who are at higher risk.

Don't forget that the original for self-isolation was to bend the curve down and avoid the medical system collapsing. Now the goal for self-isolation is what?
