Today we will be discussing 5 Habits that kill team unity.  BIG TEAM, little me philosophy is what makes great teams will.  When any member of the team gets that twisted, it can mess up the entire team. 

The Law of the Bad Apple states:  Rotten attitudes ruin a team.

  2. Share with you the things that winning teams do
  3. Share with you the questions you need to ask of the team

  3. UNRESOLVED DISAGREEMENTS 
  4. LACK OF A SHARED PURPOSE 
  5. SANCTIONED INCOMPETENCE

What You Need to Do

HOW TO DEVELOP GOOD HABITS:

The following steps will assist you in changing bad habits into good ones:
8 STEPS TO CHANGE YOUR HABITS
Step #1: List your bad habits.
Step #2: What was the original cause?
Step #3: What are the supporting causes?
Step #4: Determine a positive habit to replace the bad one.
Step #5: Think about the good habit, its benefits and results.
Step #6: Take action to develop this habit.
Step #7: Daily act upon this habit for reinforcement.
Step #8: Reward yourself by noting one of the benefits from your good habit.

  • The first place to start is with yourself. 
  1. Do you think the team wouldn’t be able to get along without you? 
  2. Do you secretly believe that recent team successes are attributable to your personal efforts, not the work of the whole team? 
  3. Do you keep score when it comes to the praise and perks handed out to other team members? 
  4. Do you have a hard time admitting you made a mistake? 
  • If you answered yes to any of these questions, you need to keep your attitude in check.
