​Introduction
Referral marketing is all about getting others to say good things about you when you’re not around. So being in someone else’s story helps them to know what to say!
If you want to be remembered and have people repeat their memories of you to others this show is for you.

Show Objectives
This show is all about the little things you can do to make it easy for others to say great things about you. Mastering these techniques will enable you to maximise the effect your reputation has on others… long before they meet you in person.

What You Need to Know 
Stories are the most memorable form of marketing… bar none. Whether told by a referral partner, client or helpful friend, they can become the strongest string on your marketing bow because of how memorable they are. So follow these tips to be in someone else’s story…
  1. Build up gratitude in others to ensure the Law of Reciprocity kicks in.
  2. Learn their stories and ride their rollercoaster as you do.
  3. Retell their story with your knowledge of the Elements of Story. (See Season 3 Show 13 notes.)
  4. Tell them you will pass on their story to specific others whom you know will be interested.
  5. Let them know what you have learned from their story.
  6. Pass them a referral.
  7. Introduce them to someone who will be beneficial to them.
  8. Ask them about things they are proud of to coax the right story out of them
  9. Send them helpful information on a topic they are interested in.
  10. Under promise. Over deliver.

What Your Need to Do
When properly executed, these tips will make you the most talked about person in your network. People will want to learn more about you, meet you and engage with you. That’s a powerful place to be. However, as is usual, it’s knowing how to execute these strategies with sensitivity that creates the greatest benefits – for you and those around you.
