Interesting topic because it means my role has settled down enough or become static as we encountered growth spurts; and the answer is it hasn't.

As we begin today's show here is the theme I want you to contemplate as I talk about myself - you will live and die on strengths and weaknesses.

INTRODUCTION
All startups / small business are reflections of the founders. All of your quirts and idiosyncrasies show up in the businesses culture, personal relationships, and work habits.

OBJECTIVE
  1. How do I build my organization from my strengths and weaknesses?

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO
  1. Organizational Chart - you don't start here for building the company however you need to start this issue here.
  2. Assess your strengths and weaknesses - you both assessments and you're own self-knowledge
    1. compile a combined list of strengths and weaknesses
    2. want to take our entrepreneurial competencies assessment?
  3. Write your Position Description first - write it to your strengths and what the position will ultimately become.
  4. Write all of the other positions that are currently occupied using the same approach - emphasizing strengths and covering  weaknesses. If you are alone then write the next position you will fill. The issue here is for the early team play to their strengths and hire to cover their weaknesses.
  5. Track your time! - it doesn't matter what system you use, use something so you can do 3 things:
    1. Compare Planned to Actual
    2. Narrative of what happened that day
    3. Ability to identify trends over time
  6. 1% more everyday - here is the mindset - do 1 more job before the end of the day, give just a little more effort on every job - your 1% incrementalism = a bunch over time
