Objectives - The WHY 
When we have a physical injury, our body creates a scar to act as a tougher and thicker outer layer. Its purpose is to form a protective cover or shell. The same thing happens when we receive an emotional injury. We form spiritual “scars”or self protection. 

Everyone has a real self that is attractive and magnetic. In order to let our real personality out, we need to learn the value of indifference.

6. The job of your conscience is to make you happy and productive through self expression. We want a good balance between inhibition and disinhibition in order to show the world a healthy personality. 
   

What You Need to Do​​ - The HOW

1. Practice these three rules for immunizing yourself against emotional hurts
   
   1. Be too big to feel threatened. People who are easily offended have the lowest self esteem. We all need a certain amount of emotional toughness and ego-security to protect us from real or imagined ego threats. Healthy self images do not bruise easily.
      
   2. Be less vulnerable with a self-reliant, responsible attitude. Turning yourself over to another person opens you up to emotional hurts. Everyone wants and needs love and affection. Balance how much you get in return for giving and develop a more self reliant attitude. Assume responsibility for your own life and emotional needs. 
      
   3. Relax away emotional hurts. Relaxation cushions emotional blows. The truth is, when we feel hurt or offended the feeling really is entirely a matter of our own personal response. You alone are responsible for your responses and reactions to every situation and circumstance. In fact, you do not even need to respond at all!
      
2. Remove past emotional scars yourself an emotional facelift. Forgiveness is the key. 
   
3. Unlock your real personality by remembering that what others think and say about you is none of your business!
   
   1. Self criticism makes you do worse
      
   2. Excessive carefulness leads to inhibition and anxiety
      
   3. Self consciousness is really others’ consciousness
      
   4. What others think creates inhibition
