Introduction WELCOME to the THIRD Show of Season 6! If you are not Aware, You Are Nowhere! Leadership Is Influence, Nothing More, Nothing Less! John C. Maxwell If Leadership is Influence, then Leadership starts by SELF-LEADERSHIP! AS USUAL, I am really excited for today’s show – Why? Because today I will AGAIN be talking about YOU! Yes, YOU! The Good YOU, The Amazing YOU, the Incredible YOU, and a bit of the BAD YOU! The Corona Virus, has manifested itself some two years ago, bringing the world to a standstill, and causing damages in the economy and in loss of millions of lives from around the globe. It has forced us into a new way of living – what people are calling now the “New Normal” What is the New Normal? IN TODAY’S SHOW, I am going to share with you some insights into this new normal we are all living in due to the Pandemic, and look at our mindset, our worries and stress, our new problems and how to deal with them using our brain rightly
THRIVING IN THE NEW NORMAL SEGMENT ONE – It’s a CRISIS, so what’s NEXT? As I talk to you, the situation of the Global Pandemic looks like this: Corona Virus Cases: 192, 884, 481 Deaths: 4,143,611 Recovered: 175, 392, 870 It’s a real crisis! So, what’s NEXT?

This question has only ONE answer for ME – We should! Even in the midst of a global crisis, WE must remember that perspective determines actions which determines influence. If WE want to lead well, WE must guard OUR perspective! We know what the virus is, we have a test for detecting it, the virus can be wiped clean, and all of the global scientific community is throwing their weight behind efforts to contain and cure. What is our ROLE in all this? We have to remain DISCIPLINED! What does that MEAN? Simple, we can contribute to eradicate this virus, we just need to self-discipline ourselves:

In the middle of difficulty, lies opportunity – Albert Einstein A crisis is a distraction for the majority of people. It pulls you away from your life focus and towards something else. Whether it’s the breaking news alerts on the evening news, or a panicked report from the Stock Market, there are plenty of things seeking to pull all your attention away from the issue at hand. Let’s look BEYOND FEAR to HOPE! My mentor, Dr John C. Maxwell, shares that there are three advantages of a crisis:
John highlighted one area where the opportunity for innovation is unlimited—higher education. With the sudden shift to entire universities learning online, there will be more progress and advancement over the next six months than over the last ten years, simply because the constraints, distractions, and nay-sayers have been sidelined out of necessity. When it comes to innovation, leaders never let a good crisis go to waste! Why do you think it is so easy for people to get distracted during a crisis?
What are some good ways you can maintain focus during these times of distraction?

While there are opportunities within a crisis that can be seized, there are still people living through the crisis that must be valued and led well
Having a positive perspective doesn’t mean you deny reality, it just means you acknowledge even the toughest circumstances have a way through them. John Maxwell shares the words of the Apostle Paul to remind us that, “you’ll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse.” (Philippians 4:8, MSG) John C.
