Everything a business owner needs to start, grow or exit a business. Grow With Us.

Introduction
As you are building your business and continue to grow you are driven to build a core that is solid.  Aligning your roles to your business goals is our next step in the journey of people. Your goal,  to create an engaged workforce, you want your people to come to work and feel they are valued and that their contribution matters.

The number one stressor for employees (found in a Gallup study 31%) was around not knowing what was expected. Unclear expectations = confusion = frustration = low performance and can eventually contribute to people leaving your business.

In reverse you as the leader could experience the same, not understanding why your people are not performing and end up being frustrated. People either way can only thrive if they know what is expected.

So in order for this to unfold we need to connect people expectations to business goals. We also need to have an understanding of your peoples personal goals.

In the last 5 shows we covered the importance of core values, standard operating procedures, position descriptions, setting expectations and how all of this leads to clarity for you and your team allowing you and your business to achieve your business goals.

The key to successful individual excellence lies in the combination of both skills and mindset. Adding people to your team is important and it is your responsibility to set people up for success.

Show Objectives
In today's show we continue the conversation about setting expectations, understanding the importance of aligning position descriptions with your business goals. Getting the layers right in your business is key. Hiring for the sake of hiring is what we want to avoid. Review what positions need to be filled as well as identifying your skill pool to achieve your business goals.

By continuing to create clarity you will encourage your team to contribute and achieve. And as always the aim of the game is to provide your client with the best possible experience.
