Introduction
Communication is fundamental for any business and in life in general. Definition of communication: “communication - noun the imparting or exchanging of information by communication skill was left out, listening. The topic of communication is extremely broad with room for variations, assumptions and perception of what is deemed as effective communication and what’s not. It is a balancing act and with so much information and stimulation available it is an area that requires ongoing attention and focus.

​In a partnership, having a deep understanding and appreciation of each other's preferred communication styles can be the game changer and allow you to communicate effectively. 

 
My favorite saying is: Say what you mean, mean what you say but don't say it mean. 
 
Dynamic partnerships can set you ahead of the game and create massive gains if set up well. So is it genius or a recipe for disaster? Let’s work on making it a genius undertaking.

How effective are you as a partnership in your communication? Are you able to communicate your ideas, organisational goals to your internal and external clients? In this week's episode we focus on two of the basic ingredients of  communication: speaking and listening.

  •  Find out what yours and your partner(s) personal style is 
  • The impact of poor communication on your organisation
  • How to use your behavioral preference as a tool
  • The make-up of communication words, tone and body language 
  • The 5 steps of active listening 
  • How to communicate with the different styles
 
What you need to do
  • Say what you mean, mean what you say but don’t say it mean, be honest and upfront
  • You were given 2 ears and one mouth, use them in proportion 
  • Stopping repetitive conversations by using the Above below the line method
  • Provide a safe environment for all parties 
  • Ask for feedback and receive the feedback

In summary, it is no easy task to communicate effectively, it takes practice and has many benefits, it is worth the investment though, it builds trust, it allows you to resolve issues, gives you clarity and develop deep relationships to name a few.
