INTRODUCTION

In today's Show, let's deep dive into finding like-minded people and forming an organization.

Show Objectives - The Why

If you can succeed alone, that means you are an independent consultant. To run an organization, you will need people, and when it comes to people, we need a clear picture of why we are recruiting, and what success looks like.

Every wrong Person in the Organization will be a liability in the long run.
Key Issues - Owner Perspective:

The key issues are failing cycle, Resistance from the near and dear ones, Massive failure and then preparedness for success.

What You Need to Know - The What

You need to understand what a successful organization looks like.

You need to understand why we end up putting people in the wrong places.

You need to write down the core values of the people you want in your Organization.

You need to understand the drawback of putting people in the wrong place.

Finally, you need to understand how to put people in the right place.

The sign of an outstanding organization is the Proper placement of people.

Definition of Successful Organization:

Knowing  the purpose of their work;
Growing  to their maximum potential;
Empowering people to create a bench.
~ The Success Journey

Most workers have a great many strengths that they can rarely get to use. Strengths can be job skills and knowledge, general abilities, personality characteristics. Research has found that every Person can do at least one thing better than any other 10,000 people.

Why Do Leaders Place People in the Wrong Place?

Failure to know the requirement to make a job successful.

Failure to know the Skills & Giftedness of the Person.

Failure to Move people when either the job or Person is changing.

Many people are in the wrong place because they stayed in the place for too long.

Failure to be patient.

The Law of Dividends: Investing in the Team Compounds over Time.
~ The 17 Indisputable Laws of Teamwork

Initially, when you are not successful, you can't attract very successful people, so put on some simple legs and have patience but if those legs are extremely weak, you need to change and bring little better.

Failure to Prepare.

1) Criteria of selection.

What's your strength
What your weakness that is important to run a business
Delegate the task that is not bringing maximum ROI to the resources.
Clearly define the expectation of work.

2) Core Values

It's also essential to have clear-cut core values in our mind for the Person we are bringing on board.

Growth Mindset.
Whatever it takes, attitude.
Collaborative personality.
Should be a Good Individual contributor and willing to collaborate as a team.
Finishing strong.
Go-Getter
They Should be street smart.
Should be able to resolve conflict.

3) Placement

To understand the importance of proper placement, let's first understand What Happens When We Place People in the Wrong Place?

1. Low Morale

The Law of the Chain: The Strength of the Team is Impacted by its Weakest Link.
~ The 17 Indisputable Laws of Teamwork

2. Unwillingness to Play as a Team.

3. Erosion of Confidence.

Counseling Leaders work with their people's Weaknesses.

Equipping Leaders work with their people's Strengths.

4. The Competition is Given an Advantage.

5. Progress is Hindered.

6. Potential is not Realized.

Blessed is he who realize he is not good at something and does not attempt to inflect what they are not good at on other people.

Three Types of People You Want to Bring on your Team:

Superstar - You need to find a Place for that Person.
Stars - You need to find a person for that place.
upcoming Stars - They will be your ideal bench.

As a Leader, you need to ……

Know Yourself

Know Team

Know Situation

How do you move an organization from Regression to Multiplication?

The Wrong Person in the Wrong Place = Regression

The Wrong Person in the Right Place = Frustration

The Right Person in the Wrong Place = Confusion

The Right Person in the Right Place = Progression

The Right People in the Right Places = Multiplication

Here is the How part

To put people in "their place", a Leader must know…..

1. Team

When building a team, the right Person is a priority.

When fine-tuning a team, the right Person & the right Place are both priorities.

2. Situation

The Law of the Scoreboard – The Team Can Make Adjustments When It Knows Where It Stands.
~ The 17 Indisputable Laws of Teamwork

Leaders get the best Position out of a Situation, by understanding……

A. The time D. The resources
B. The Timing E. The competition
C. The opportunity F. The players

3. Players

What a Leader needs to know to place a person correctly.

A. Experience D. Attitude G. Emotional Strength
B. Abilities E. Passion H. Relational Strength
C. Temperament F. Potential I. Discipline

To Be Placed in the Right Place, a Player Must……

1. Be secure

"No amount of personal competency compensated for personal insecurity."
~ Wayne Schmidt

Insecure people do not Take Risk.

Insecure people do not Like change.

Insecure people are not Flexible.

2. Trust the leader

A Leader's 1st Questions should be…. Am I a trust worthy Person?

Trustworthy Questions:

Can I be trusted with this Organizations future?

Can I be trusted with this Persons potential?

Will this direction be best for the Organization?

Will this direction be best for the People?

3. You have to see the big picture

To see the Big Picture we must see the…….
The Reality
The possibilities

A vision is a mental picture of what tomorrow will look like. It expresses our highest standards and values. It sets us apart and makes us feel special. It spans years of time and keeps us focused on the future. And if it's to be attractive to more than an insignificant few, it must appeal to all of those who have a stake in it.
~ The Leadership Challenge by Kouzes & Posner
