This is Episode #11 about the need to follow up and be able to communicate clearly with your prospective partners and clients  in our D1 Lane, people skills for success, at IBGR.Network, 

There are many items we, as business owners and entrepreneurs, must take care off….many of which were never taught in school and, if you were employed for many years before branching out and going it alone, you will already have noticed the distinct differences between employment and being ‘the boss’!

Looking into the areas I am today are there for not just ‘nice to have’s’ they are ‘must do’s ‘ and very necessary for your business to take off, survive, and thrive.
 
After talking about the importance of effective networking last week, this week we will be talking into following up with the connections you have made and how to take those all important next steps to gain potential clients or customers.

Show Objectives - The Why

Having a better grasp of effective networking, it does not remain effective if we do not communicate with them and follow up. 
To gain influence with your prospective partners, clients, and customers, there are some key issues which are imperative when building relationships.


What You Need to Know - The What

I talked in the last part about the importance of following up and building long term relationships. Here we will discuss in more detail some of those 7 points I briefly mentioned in the first session, which are listed below.

  1. Practice the 3 Ps: Be Prompt, Proactive, and Patient
  2. Use an authentic yet professional voice in all communication
  3. Be a resource - Provide Valuable Content
  4. Start and Engage in Meaningful Conversations
  5. Timing is everything
  6. Demonstrate Gratitude
  7. Know when to Let Go and Move On



What You Need to Do - The How

In the last few weeks, I delivered several talks about Intentional living and Intentional Leadership…..Business is also like that so I really want to start this last session of today’s broadcast with some thoughts and insights into the subject of Intentionality, before going into some of the ‘HOW TO’s’ of those 7 important areas discussed in the previous sessions.
