Welcome to the show: People – Your greatest asset in business! My name is Teena Ogbugoh and I’m super excited to be your anchor today. IBGR NETWORK – THE INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS GROWTH NETWORK – also known as RESULTS Radio Network. Everything a business owner needs to start, grow or exit a business. Come grow with us. This show is the people performance side of your business - People "STAFF IT" How to attract, select, develop, and compensate the best people. I will be talking about principles, processes and practices to help your business thrive. Our episode on the show today, is titled: INFORMATION NECESSARY TO PERFORM IS READILY AVAILABLE
My aim is to help you, every time I come on air, understand how business processes and practices can help you and your team perform optimally to produce the desired outcome. Stay tuned and let’s help you take your business to the next level. 
Show Objectives
The show objective for today is to reiterate the importance of information availability in the business. While businesses may differ in market share, size of company and number of employees, what all businesses need to have in place is documented information available on how to perform each task and function. You will have a better understanding on how to make information available and readily accessible. 
  Key Issues:
  1. Employees expect to have written job/position descriptions to know their duties and responsibilities but it may not be available.
  2. Business owners assume that as long as employees are experienced, they may not require responsibilities to be outlined.
  3. Absence of formal trainings.
  4. Ineffective managers and supervision
  5. Lack of communication
What You Need to Do
  1. Define each role with duties and responsibilities.
  2. Write job descriptions and position descriptions with appropriate and necessary information.
  3. Have formal training for employees at all levels.
  4. Create an environment for regular two-way communication and feedback.
  5. Evaluate job roles with job descriptions to assess relevance.
  6. Conduct review of information on job roles in line with standard operating procedures.
