The One Minute Manager is a short book by Ken Blanchard and Spencer Johnson that was in reality a practical application of the goal of a self managing organization. The brief volume tells a story, recounting three techniques of an effective manager: (1) one-minute goals, (2) one-minute praisings and (3) one-minute reprimands. Each of these takes only a minute but over time provides a lasting benefit.
It was based on this article (research) - effective management by Elliot Carlisle. See the attached file - it is required reading for all small business owners!
