Introduction

Hi I’m Ellen McIlhenny and it is my pleasure to host this show on Mondays at 4:00EST.  It  is the fourth quarter of what has to be the craziest year in my lifetime. Now more than ever, e small business owners need a community of people who understand the challenges we face. So please join our Community of Commerce and let’s start the conversation.

This season we will be talking, “Everything Finance” for Stage V companies. First, what is a Stage V Company? This is the stage in which you will be optimizing every aspect of the business in order to sell or reinvent.  In Stage III a decision was made on the trajectory and a decision was made, whether to sell or pivot.  Stage IV was a period of “Hockey Stick” revenue growth and now in Stage V, it is time to clean things up. In Stage IV things are happening so fast that more than likely the infrastructure of the company is suffering. Processes need to be put in place, contracts need to be reviewed, and financials need to be prepared to present to either potential buyers or potential investors.  This season we will look at these topics and others in a bit more in depth.
