Introduction
It's a wrap, we have arrived at our final episode of Build your Core for season 4 where the focus has been on Dynamic Business Partnerships. Dynamic Business Partnerships bring many advantages, if set up well. With family business being at the heart of our economy and having experienced the trials and tribulations of family business first hand, initially with my then husband for 20 years and now my daughter, family businesses employ up to 70% of the economy here in Australia and some partnerships do actually start accidently. In season 4 we explored the key issues and the aim was to provide you with the tools and insights you need to build strong foundations—to allow both your business and life to thrive.  
 
Show Objectives
In this episode I will provide you with all the best bits in review, lets see what we talked about. 

Episode 2 Set your baseline, the why, what and how
  • What you need in this partnership to allow you to play your A-Game, we discussed the 5 pillars for a thriving partnership: Clarity, communication, confidence, collaboration, commitment
 
Episode 3 Who is the captain of your ship?
  • Having clarity on who is responsible for what is imperative. This was a great episode where I got to interview one of our on air talent Richard and Siobhan Millar. They left us with one great tip each 
  • Siobhan’s tip: Don’t set too many boundaries as you might need to break them, go a bit with the flow.
    Richard’s tip: Absolute openness and honesty is key to ensure both parties know where they are at.
  
Episode 4 Working smarter, not harder
  • How having solid processes will save you time and create clarity. Developing processes to allow you to create consistency and time on your business 
  • How by having SOP’s you reduce variables, create consistency,  increase productivity, profitability and create a workforce that delivers time and time again achieving a win-win-win. 
 
Episode 5 Stop guessing, start knowing 
  • in this episode I speak to my friend, colleague and referral partner John Stead from HMH and the importance of having financial visibility in your business. The most common and difficult conversation in a partnership turns out to be $ 
 
Episode 6 Effective communication 101, internal and external
  • Do you know if your communication is effective? What about the unspoken communication? this is what we covered off in this conversation 
 
 
Episode 7 The richness in diverse leadership 
  • The different styles of leadership and how to get the most out of your super powers
 
Episode 8 You get what you accept
  • You did not get into business to settle and certainly not around your people. You are investing in finding the best talent, developing them and retaining those who are on the journey with you to help you realize your vision. 

Episode 9 Building your winning team
  • Collaboration 
  • Together we are better
 
Episode 10 How to avoid the “pillow talk” trap
  • Your mindset and the role it plays in self-care 
  • As the individual Self-care practices are put on the back burner, you feel you don't have the time, you feel guilty about taking time out for yourself
  • Lack of boundaries between professional and personalLooking after you and each other
  
Episode 11 Playing your A-Game
  • Create a plan for you as a dynamic partnership, both personal and professional goal setting
  • Continue to invest in the partnership, celebrate and recognition
  • Keep investing in you as partners in terms of professional and personal development (remember the team, how can you continue to improve and get better)

Episode 12 Life is not a rehearsal, celebrate your wins
  • Make time to discuss the important issues you agree on as partners
  • Recognizing each other as well as the rest of your people holds enormous benefits, from performance to retention, people want to be valued
  • Take time out to appreciate your partner, as humans it is easy to forget, you do need a reminder some times, write it down, tell each other what it is you appreciate about this partnership
  • Re assessing your vision and mission regularly together, what is important right now
  • Have fun fun fun
