Show Objectives
Knowledge of the DISC personality and behavior model allows you to understand yourself, employees, coworkers, friends and family in a new and profound way. When you understand and apply the DISC method you become a better communicator. This allows you to minimize and prevent conflicts while appreciating the differences in others so you can positively influence those around you.  

Recognize the four personality styles
  1. The D Style is assertive, to the point and wants the bottom line. They can appear forceful, direct and strong-willed.
  2. The I Style are great communicators and friendly to everyone they meet. They can appear optimistic, friendly and talkative.
  3. The S Style are good listeners and great team players. They are steady, patient, loyal and practical.
  4. The C Style enjoys gathering facts and details and is thorough in all their activities.The can appear precise, sensitive and analytical.

Identify Your Employee’s Personality Style
Everyone has a unique personality. There are two questions that need to be answered in order to identify your employee’s personality style.
  1. First ask yourself, “Does this person seem more Outgoing or more Reserved?” This is what we call the “motor” or what drives them.
  2. Then ask yourself, “Does this person seem more Task-Oriented or more People-Oriented? This is the compass that steers them.
When you combine the answer to these two questions it determines your employee’s predominant personality style or temperament. 
The 4 temperaments are are:
  1. D (Outgoing-Task Oriented)
  2.  I  (Outgoing - People Oriented)
  3. S  (Reserved - People Oriented)
  4. C  (Reserved - Task Oriented)

Main Characteristics of the "C" Competent personality style:
  1. Thinks things through
  2. Accurate
  3. High standards
  4. Careful
  5. Systematic and precise

Value of the "C" Competent personality style to your company
  1. Good organizer
  2. Follows directions
  3. Even-tempered
  4. Clarifies situations well

  1. Finds fault easily
  2. So focused on details they might miss the big picture
  3. Too critical
