Introduction

Successful companies have a purpose and stand for something. When business owners decided to start a business, sometimes the vision is unclear or outside of reality. Women with businesses are great at collaborating with others to accomplish goals; however, this show will dig deeper into the areas of company vision and goals for future THRIVING. As women, we also typically know what we want and how we will achieve it. Let us think the same way for our business.

Show Objectives – The Why

The objective during this show is to outline requirements for business success, which will serve as a strategic plan. The vision statement also serves as an employee guide when challenges arise. The vision statement is also a motivation tool for employees. As for goals, having something drawn out to achieve is crucial for leaders and staff. The goals must meet the SMART criteria as well as be attainable. Business owners must also ensure to have targets identified, which will assist in meeting business goals.

Key Issues – Owner Perspective

  1. Key stakeholders must be involved when drafting vision and goals statements.
  2. Personal and business values must align to the business for success.
  3. Without quantifiable data, goals are not measurable.
  4. Think of company vision for the next 5-10 years first. Do not reach too far out.
  5. Celebrating quick wins achieved from targets will motivate the team.
  6. Business owners include fantasy into vision statements.

What You Need to Know – The What
 
  1. Without a clear and exciting vision, companies may not be successful.
  2. First step for planning goals is to determine the things for your company to accomplish.
  3. Without SMART goals, companies do not have clear guidance for staff to seek.
  4. Clear business goals must be outlined, and targets identified.
  5. Business vision includes aspiration and goals for the future.
  6. Goals must be outlined for annual, monthly, weekly, and daily success.

What You Need to Do – The How

  1. Create a clear vision for your business.
  2. Identify the business CORE goal.
  3. Outline clear and obtainable goals that meet the SMART criteria.
  4. Ensure targets are identified to assist with reaching company goals.
  5. Create a business vision board.
  6. Conduct strategy sessions with leadership and staff.
  7. You must ensure to start with a clear mission statement.

  1. Conduct strategy sessions with leadership to outline business strategies.
  2. Facilitate virtual training sessions and workshops with staff to guide them in awareness of the benefits of being all in.
  3. Host virtual roundtable discussions with leadership and staff.
