Introduction
One theme consistent in Season 3 is the station's becoming your CGO - Chief Growth Officer for Hire, the underlying role of the Network. Last week we tackled "Developing Your and Their Downline Skills". This week shifts the conversation to making the right personnel decisions, in this business who you pick is your fate!

Objectives - The WHY
All businesses, and MLM is no exception, is based on just a few simple principles: (1) what do we make or deliver, (2) how do we sell the offer, (3) how do we make money, (4) how do we scale it.

Today's show will directly address who to build the future on.

Key Issues - Owner Perspective:​
  1. Who am I looking for?
  2. How to I build an organization (downline) around them?

What You Need to Know - The WHAT​
Start with a Talent - Education, Skills, and Experience Audit.
  • Who are you hiring?
    • Consumer: purchasing the product & service for both elements of the offer and pricing. They typically never enroll others are cannot be relied on to bring you more business;
    • Connector: people in a community who know large numbers of people and in the habit of making introductions. A connector is essentially the social equivalent of a computer network hub. Connected to people across an array of social, cultural, professional, and economic circles, and make a habit of introducing people who work or live in different circles. These individuals are extroverts and experts with the elements of your offer;
    • Maven: people we rely upon to connect us with new information - typically on the bleeding or leading edge of anything that interests them. They accumulate knowledge, especially about the marketplace, and know how to share it with others. Mavens are someone who wants to solve other people's problems, generally by solving their own. They start viral networks due to their knowledge, social skills, and ability to communicate. Mavens are really information brokers, sharing and trading what they know, and usually introverts;
    • Sales Person: are persuaders", very charismatic with negotiation skills. They tend to have an indefinable trait that goes beyond what they say, which makes others want to agree with them. There is something about them that is attractive and attracts followers - do not underestimate the power of attractiveness;
    • Entrepreneur: EPISODE F.010 ENTREPRENEURIAL COMPETENCIES, 

​What You Need to Do​​ - The HOW
  1. Consumer: focus on news about upcoming improvements to the offer or research on your offer vs the competition.
  2. Connector: solid commission structure for bringing new people to the feast, especially candidates that become producers (sales or connections).
  3. Maven: same as connector
  4. Sales Person: well designed compensation plan that is easy to understand (they can do the math in their head); track their earnings over time to show progress as well the current dollar totals.
  5. Entrepreneurs: invest heavily in their development to build a producing downline, "Dream Builders", their reward is beyond financial (although essential), it is building successful downlines.
