Introduction

Stage III business owners are experiencing growth and consistent revenue. Values identity beliefs, principles, and philosophies that drive a business and people. The impact of values affects employee experience delivery and with stakeholder relationships. The company values must be identified and honored by the company and staff. Company values are like a heartbeat but for your business. Decisions of your business must be based around and aligned with company values. Employees must be held accountable for upholding company values.

Show Objectives – The Why

The objective during this show is to ensure business owners understand the importance of clarifying work values to ensure job satisfaction of employees. Your company values are an essential piece of your organizational culture and brand. While most owners understand these values, it is important that this understanding trickles down the organization to people at every level.

How can you THRIVE by ensuring company values are clear and understood? This can be accomplished with awareness, value add, communication, focus, effort and engagement, performance, and value.

Key Issues – Owner Perspective
 
  1. Business owners are not providing a list of values.
  2. Business owners do not ensure stakeholders are aware of company values.
  3. Employees are not highlighting company values and aligning with personal.
  4. Performance requirements do not reflect the values.
  5. The behaviors in the company do not reflect values.

  1. Company values must be clear
  2. Company values will increase job satisfaction
  3. Stakeholders will be able to see your values prior to you telling them or viewing on a board
  4. The values in the workplace will drive employee attitudes and behaviors
  5. Values will assist your organization determine the atmosphere and team dynamics
  6. Immediate clarity for decision making is provided
  7. Knowing company values will assist with the hiring process
  8. Work-life harmony (balance) will increase

  3. Reinforce company values in all communication
  4. Recognize and reward values-centric behaviors
  5. Incorporate company values into your sales process
  6. Incorporate company values into your hiring process
  7. Incorporate company values into your performance review process
  8. Terminate people who violate company core values
  9. Ensure alignment between internal and external messaging
