William Eastman - “Living The Life...On My Terms”

Introduction

It is the third radio day after last week's World Summit, our hard launch of the radio station.

I want to thank you for our entire team, for tuning in and joining us to celebrate the start of our 3rd Season. Now it's time to make the changes that became apparent and take the business to the next level and expand our OnAir 24X7 coverage of the globe.

The station’s theme for Season 3: Many Countries, One Language - BUSINESS.

WHY?

5% of the world population employs 57%. Let’s turn that into numbers - 375 million entrepreneurs employee 1.9 billion people. We have the most significant community in the world, the facts don’t lie.

Objectives - The WHY
If you have been listening to the shows in our Finance and Operations track, you will be hearing a common theme. The key problem for entrepreneurs in Stage I, pre startup, is the paradox of conducting Due Diligence in market research while moving quickly to start Selling to test your product or service and begin generating revenue.

The easiest place to start is where you have trust instead of trying to reduce the risk of buying for strangers. This show will cover reviewing your list of contacts and inviting them to get involved with a soft launch.

Key Issues - Owner Perspective:
  1. Evaluate their lists to determine candidates for early adopters.
  2. Create marketing collateral for soft launch.
  3. Friends and family special offer in exchange for purchase and feedback.

What You Need to Know - The WHAT
  • How to extract a contact list from your phones onto a spreadsheet;
  • How to extract a contact list from your email accounts onto a contact list;
  • How to extract a contact list from your social media accounts onto a contact list;
  • Select a vendor to produce branded cards for postal mail.

What You Need to Do - The HOW
  1. Gather your contacts in one place - preferably a spreadsheet or CRM
    1. Download your phone contact list to a spreadsheet.
    2. Download your email contact list to a spreadsheet.
    3. Pull all social media contacts with ongoing relationships to a spreadsheet.
  2. Sort your list into potential early adopters
  3. Create branded cards (like a birthday card) and mail to your combined list of identified early adopters. Card contains date/time of soft launch and a request for a conversation.
  4. Follow up card with email to schedule a call.
  5. Explain the purpose behind the card and the new business. During the call explore the idea and solicit their recommendations.
  6. Build a list of markets and accounts you should target for the hard launch.
  7. Build marketing collateral for soft and hard launch - traditional and digital.
  8. Create a Special Offer for people participating in the soft launch - trade something of value for them reaching out to their lists for the hard launch.
