Episode Title – Does Your Website Make You Referrable?
Chances are your website is the flagship of your business’s marketing effort. It’s the first of your marketing collateral prospects will see.
What do they say about a first impression?
Too often, business owners work hard to attract referrals only to have the prospect check out their website prior to meeting them face-to-face and the website looks like a 9-year-old put it together. And in those moments when the prospect is checking out the website, their confidence in the referred supplier is dwindling.
This show will pass on 4 of the 6 simple steps all business owners can take to ensure their websites build on the confidence their Referral Partners have initiated.
Let’s face it… all the hard work of your Referral Partner can be undone in a heartbeat if your website is below par.
What You Need to Know
To give your prospects confidence in you, your website needs to tick 5 boxes. With all of these, you need to take into account whom your Target Market is and fulfill these elements to their needs.
Conversion is the fifth element of a quality website. High converting websites use additional strategies to coax visitors into making contact with you. Your referred prospects need to feel this need to contact you too because it means they have an enhanced vision of you as the answer to their problems.
This saves you having to do a whole lot of selling. This means their view of you is “When can you start?” instead of “Prove you’re good enough.”
So get your website backing up what your Referral Partner has initiated.
Above the fold is the sixth element. Above the fold is that part of your website right at the top of each page before you scroll down. There are design strategies that need to be employed there so your site’s visitors are seduced into scrolling down.
Let’s face it…
If they don’t like what they see at the top,
they ain’t gunna scroll down and that means you’ve lost them.
