The purpose of this weekly podcast is to provide you with insights, ideas, and tools to help you navigate the Dynamic world of Business Partnerships.

In the next hour I will share with you the Business Partnership Formula for success. A+B-A+C=SUCCESS 

Let’s take a closer look at what this formula is about, in essence we are looking at the make up of what makes a partnership successful. In everything you and talk about it comes down to a few core areas that you need to keep working on. 

  1. Accountability
  2. Boundaries 
  3. Communication 
  4. Appreciation 

= SUCCESS 


This is E9” Its easier to succeed with Business Partnerships Accountability than you think, follow these 4 steps to get you started “ 

When in a Business Partnership we need a proper framework in terms of accountability and knowing what to do when you and your partner are not delivering. 

  1. Firstly we need to identify what accountability means to each partner and what is the best way to define this. 
  2. This might be bit of a funny one, Are you a fighter, flighter or freezer, let me explain this. Each partner is unique and as such we need to understand who will be best fit for what and understanding what type of responses this can potentially create and how to address this. 
  3. Once 1 and 2 is established now let’s determine how we will measure this accountability. We must make sure accountability is tied to something, last week I did use the saying “If you don’t know where you are going you will end up somewhere you might now want to be”. Truth 
  4. Find a system that can keep score of what you are accountable for, eg. Financial, sales revenue, something that will reflect the outcomes achieved.

You are in a business partnership and hopefully you have chosen wisely and prepared accordingly. Have you set clear boundaries? In this episode I will reveal 2 different types of boundaries and how setting these will help you achieve the expectations set. 

In this episode I want to talk to you about two types of boundaries:
  1. Set Partnership boundaries
  2. Set External agreed boundaries
  3. Be clear on the expectations

E11 Start strong and stay strong, How to get on and stay on the same page in Dynamic Business Partnerships
  1. Develop common goals  
  2. Communication 

Develop a framework in which you can be honest and transparent. This is a non-negotiable. The first thing I look at when working with Dynamic Partnerships is how often they prioritize communicating and what do they communicate about. There are many different styles of partnerships. As a partnership you must be ok and trust each other that you can have any conversation no matter how challenging. 


One of my favourite tools when things get a little bit heated is the above the line and below the line principal, it has saved many of my clients tonnes of time in wasting time on non-productive conversations. In short above the line is what moves us forward and below the line is what holds us back. 

  1. Sharing is caring- Goals that are shared get achieved! Things do change.

E12 How to make money with practising appreciation in Business Partnerships

“Energy flows where attention goes” I love this saying and it rings so much truth. So is the attitude of gratitude, this is something that is easily forgotten when you are in business working and growing. 

Tune in as I explore the many benefits appreciation can bring to your business and make you money as well. Gratitude is a form of appreciation, I am a strong believer that if you can do this for yourself and your partner the Dynamics will improve dramatically and increase the chances for success.

For self: 
  • It will uplift in a positive way and strangely enough allow you approach things differently. 
  • It helps you remove thoughts that are not useful
  • It has the potential to conserve energy 
  • Greater output

For your partner:
  • A sense of recognition
  • Strengthens the reason why 
  • Helps with going that extra mile when needed
  • Increases levels of satisfaction and fulfilment

For you together:
  • Acknowledge each other regularly
  • Celebrate the small and the big wins
  • Set up a reward system that meets your individual needs and circumstances 

Now your question here could be, so how does this make us money? Think about it happy people, happy clients, happy business = profit
