Fear  Fears are nothing more than states of mind. The good news is that a state of mind can be controlled and directed. We have control over only one thing, and that one thing is our thoughts.

2. Indecision is the seedling of fear. Indecision gives way to Doubt. Indecision and Doubt  blend together to become Fear.
3. The “blending” process is often slow. That is why the three enemies of indecision, doubt and fear are so dangerous. They grow without us even seeing it happen.
4. Don’t be deceived by the habits of these three subtle enemies. Sometimes they are hidden in the subconscious mind where they are difficult to locate and even more difficult to eliminate.

1. “The enemy wants to  steal  our peace  and  keep us stirred up,  anxious,  fearful, upset,  and always in a stance of waiting for something terrible to happen at any minute.” - Stormie Omartian
   
2. The six basic fears are Fear of Poverty, Fear of Criticism, Fear of Ill Health, Fear of Loss of Love of Someone, Fear of Old Age and Fear of Death. 
   
3. Fear of Poverty is the most destructive fear because it paralyzes the faculty of reason, destroys the faculty of imagination, discourages initiative, leads to uncertainty of purpose, encourages procrastination, wipes out enthusiasm and makes self control impossible. The fear of poverty is the most difficult to master. The symptoms of the Fear of Poverty include indifference, indecision, doubt, worry, over caution and procrastination. 
   
4. Fear of Criticism - this fear is almost as universal as the fear of poverty and its effects are just as fatal to personal achievement, mainly because it destroys initiative and discourages the use of the imagination. Symptoms of the Fear of Criticism include self-consciousness, lack of poise, indecisive personality, inferiority complex, extravagance, lack of initiative and lack of ambition.

2. Fear gets translated into worry through indecision. Reach a decision to not worry and most of the hard work is already done. We can kill the habit of worry in all forms by reaching a general, blanket decision that nothing life has to offer is worth the price of worry. With this decision will come poise, peace of mind and calmness of thought which will bring happiness. 
   
3. You have the power to feed your mind whatever thought impulses you choose. With this privilege comes the responsibility of using it constructively. You are the master of your thoughts. 
   
4. We can influence, direct and eventually control our own environment, making our life what we want it to be - or we can neglect to exercise the privilege that is ours, to make our life to order or allow life and its circumstances to toss us around like the waves of the ocean. Either choice starts with a thought.

2. You can protect yourself against negative influences of your own making or as the result of the activities of negative people around you by using willpower to build a wall of immunity against negative influences in your own mind.
   
3. Napoleon Hill says, “Recognize the fact that you, and every other human being, are by nature, lazy, indifferent, and susceptible to all suggestions which harmonize with your weaknesses.” OUCH!
   
4. Deliberately look to be around people who influence you to think and act for yourself. Then guard your thoughts! Without a doubt, Hill says, the most common weakness of all human beings is the habit of leaving our minds open to the negative influence of other people.
