AS USUAL, I am really excited for today’s show – Why? Because today I will AGAIN be talking about YOU! Yes, YOU! The Good YOU, The Amazing YOU, the Incredible YOU, and a bit of the BAD YOU!
We all want to be Great Leaders in our life. It gives people a lot of satisfaction to be able to lead others and bring valuable changes. But as it goes, the BEST Leader is the one who can LEAD himself/herself FIRST, before being able to lead others. Wherein our show on Self Leadership II today!
Self – Leadership II
SEGMENT 1 – Natural Rewards
Rewards provide inspiration to people. People act because they know they will receive something in return. It is important to note that not all rewards need to be physical. Rewards can also be natural. A natural reward comes after you have done something well and deserve the next step in life or praise. If you do something good, naturally something comes in return.
So, have you been rewarding yourself for the different milestones you have achieved in your life so far, little or big steps?
How does it feel to get rewarded?

Last week, I talked a bit about my life story – I didn’t know who I was, where I was until my teacher, Miss Chantal, initiated me to the world of reading. Through books, I discovered my worth, my ambitions, my vision for the long term, but also my weaknesses, my lack of skills, knowledge, and so many other things. I wanted to grow but I could not figure out HOW, how to do it because a lot of pieces of the puzzle were missing…But one thing I understood – I could FOCUS on what my teachers were teaching me, and LEARN them, study them as if my entire life depended on them…and it did! That’s SELF-LEADERSHIP, and I learned that it was this years AFTER I started the process! That’s also a BIG REWARD for having turned my curse into a blessing (despite being unconscious of the fact while starting the process)

SEGMENT TWO – Constructive Thinking
To be a happy person, you have to think constructively.
You have to look at things in a positive way and determine how it will benefit you.
Always think things through, and determine the best course of action.
Your brain is a powerful tool, so use it to your advantage.
Self-talk is something that we all need to be aware of. For a healthy mind, we want to focus on developing better self talk and practicing it. Self-talk is our little inner voice. It may not always be loud, so we need to listen for it. It is important to pay attention to this because it can either be positive or negative. Positive talk is what makes you feel good about yourself. Negative self makes you feel bad about yourself. It is pessimistic. Get rid of the negative voice, and focus on the positive one.

SEGMENT THREE – Well-Being I
It is crucial that we take our own well being into account and we take care of ourselves.
We cannot take care of others, unless we take care of ourselves first.
This may be professionally, personally, and physically.
Put yourself in a positive state of mind.
A positive well being, leads to a positive and fulfilled life.
Emotional intelligence is a concept associated with one's ability to control, evaluate, and perceive emotions. It can be learned over time. Emotional awareness is part of emotional intelligence. This is when you can identify yours and others emotions as well as having the ability to harness and manage emotions.

SEGMENT FOUR – Well-Being II
Put yourself as number 1 in your life and focus on your well-being. There are so many things that you can do to focus on yourself. This may include exercising, dieting, and getting enough sleep. Find a happy medium in life and determine what makes you feel good inside and out, and do it.
To promote a positive well-being, fitness is very important. It will make all the difference in your mind and body. Fitness allows a person to function more effectively. It is simple to do, and can be done just about anywhere. You do not have to have big workouts to become fit. Start small, and work your way up. It is great to have a partner who can encourage you and keep you motivated to continue working on your fitness.
