Show Objectives: 
This is going to be a good discussion with the amazing Danielle Moran. You can read her bio below, but Danielle has a huge passion for her profession! So much that she took the leap and started her own dietitian practice. We met in the networking world but had the opportunity to build our friendship personally and professionally. Please join us as we talk about the controversial topic of polarizing in business.

What You Need to Know:

Danielle Moran is a Registered Dietitian and a Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics, who is on a mission to help young athletes learn how to use food to feel and perform at their very best! She obtained a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science from UNK in 2014, followed by a Master's degree in Nutrition with a Sports Nutrition emphasis from the University of Utah in 2016.

hroughout her career as a Registered Dietitian, Danielle has worked in Division I college athletics and in retail dietetics. Currently, Danielle is the owner of Danielle Moran Performance Nutrition, where she works with young athletes and their families to maximize their sport performance while also developing or maintaining unity around food. Danielle believes that the purpose of nutrition is simply to help people feel and perform at their very best so that they can have the impact in this world they were uniquely created to make. Nutrition should fit into your life, not the other way around. 

  1. Why you should be polarizing 
  • To create deeper connections with people who need your message or product
  • To make it clear that someone is not a good fit for your message or product so they can find someone that can serve them better
  • "If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for everything"
  • "If you try to serve EVERYONE, you end up serving no one"
  1. What it looks like to be polarizing
    • Definition of Polarize: "divide or cause to divide into two sharply contrasting groups or sets of opinions or beliefs"
    • The goal is NOT to fight people, be combative, or unkind
    • The goal is to stand firm and be bold in your values and beliefs so that you can serve people better
  2. Who does this apply to?
    • Business owners, people building a personal brand, anyone with a strong conviction or belief
    • This simply allows people to get to know you better so that you can form deeper connections and be able to serve them better
    • We are taught throughout life to edit ourselves, but deep connections and developing trust requires honesty and transparency
