Crystal Y. Davis - "Lead Lean"
There must be something in the air!
Over the last few weeks of working with clients, I have been seeing positive momentum in some areas. However, the contract in other areas seems enormous. I guess when so many things are going wrong, when you start to gain some headway on low hanging fruit that is when the boulders stick out. The challenges are actually not that difficult to resolve if it were only a process. The reality is that there is dysfunction amongst the teams and they are not getting along.
Dysfunction can and will reap havoc on your operations and business goals. Dysfunction stems from the absence of trust, which leads to a whole host of issues that aren’t focused on what is best for the business, culture and workplace environment.
One very important goal for a leader is to eliminate fear. Today, I am referencing the book, The Five Dysfunctions of a Team by Patrick Lencioni.
The objectives today are to provide some insights to the five dysfunctions and the impact on operations, teams and culture. I will share how to combat mistrust, conflict, lack of commitment and accountability and the impact all of this has on results.
