Introduction
Women who lead have a story to tell and should share it with the world. When business owners share their story, it builds community and idea sharing happens. Stories allow companies to stand out, attract the right customers, and elevate business. Storytelling is a key to success and power to shape lives. Telling a great story will inspire others and is emotional glue. Leaders should not tell any story but tell ones with meaning and relevance to the organization.

Communication skills will enhance, and relationships will develop by practicing storytelling. Great stories have authentic emotions, share a moment, and provide specific details. Stories will transform the life of the leader, life of others, and the world.

Show Objectives – The Why
The objective during this show is to share the importance of telling great stories in business. The information shared this week will also provide details on various types of storytelling. How can you THRIVE by allowing people to have the authority to perform their jobs? This can be accomplished with having confidence to be authentic, great character, positive influence, motivation, high energy, and elevating service.

Key Issues – Owner Perspective
  1. Owners are not aware of the positive impact of storytelling.
  2. Stories are not shared that make a positive impact on the organization.
  3. The inspirational aspect of stories is unknown.
  4. The power of storytelling is unfamiliar.
  5. There is a difference between a good and great story.

What You Need to Know – The What
1.    Storytelling will improve communication with staff and customers.
2.    There is more than one type of storytelling.
3.    Capturing stories allow for self-affirmations.
4.    Journaling and listening to yourself will strengthen leadership.
5.    Stories are also a management resource.

What You Need to Do – The How
  1. Create authentic stories that will inspire the staff and customers.
  2. Practice storytelling to elevate the impact.
  3. Include the four key elements of storytelling, which are beginning, struggle, tipping point, and new beginning.
  4. Develop stories that are relevant and emotional.
  5. Business owners must allow themselves to be vulnerable.
  6. If you want to transform your life, change the life of others, and change the world, TELL A GREAT STORY.
