“The Visionary Entrepreneur” - Episode 11 – The Servant Entrepreneur

How are we OF service to others, rather than just serving!

IBGR.Network - PROFIT Radio. Everything a business owner needs to start, grow or exit a business. GROW WITH US.

INTRODUCTION

How are we OF service to others, rather than just serving!

To serve is regarded as one of the highest levels of thoughtfulness we can strive for, as we engage meaningfully with every person we meet. In fact, to be intentional in our everyday lives, means that we heighten our awareness and become more conscious of the way we make people feel.

I always talk about our words and actions, behaviours and thoughts, resonating through our interactions in a way that allows us to improve our ability to influence, impact and intentionally live a legacy that is worth celebrating!

Show Objectives - The Why

As a Visionary Entrepreneur, you will always seek balance in the way you do business. To build yourself financially and secure your future, is an imperative. If we see money as a tool, then we automatically understand that service is the key to creating an abundance mindset that does not limit us to what can do, the impact we can have and more than that, the significant value we can bring to the world.

Being Purpose filled and Purpose driven allows us to resonate at a level where, as Entrepreneurs, we understand the value of uplifting as we grow too.

Key Issues - Owner Perspective:

  • I do not see how serving others can make me money?
  • Does this mean that I am a slave to my employees needs?
  • Can you prove that having a Servant mentality is not demeaning?

Firstly, ego has no place in this conversation. Harsh, but true.

When you have a Servant entrepreneur mentality, you somehow challenge the way you do business. You challenge yourself. You seek to improve the quality of your offerings, the brilliance of your products, the sustainability of your services and retention of your customers. Everything and everyone become more important than your own needs. You are unlimited in possibility, potential, creativity, even increasing the loyalty of the people who willingly sacrifice their time to support you as you seek success in your ventures.

Use the I.C.E method. Intentional, Compassionate, Evolutionary Leadership to serve.

What You Need to Do - The How

7 Pillars of a Servant Entrepreneur
  1. Measure the quality of service/product by how many lives you've enhanced (The strongest brand has quality in the giving hand)
  2. Have a clear understanding of mission and sense of purpose (This attracts more helping hands to expand your land)
  3. Nurture fruitful growth (This allows you to be a constant resource and asset in your business and personal life)
  4. Embrace the honor and responsibility to lead the next generation of entrepreneurs (This is confirmation of your wealth of influence)
  5. Authenticity and honesty (This validates your integrity)
  6. Treat humanity as family (This enhances your level of communication and compassion for all those around you)
  7. Focus on the well being of the people you serve (This pushes you to provide the best service and products)

What you need to adjust – The Why!

  • Being approachable is a massive one.
  • Thoughtful in the way you speak INTO the lives of others.
  • Gentle, clear and concise, yet focused in your decisions.
  • Inclusive of the needs of others.
  • Willing to uplift and support others.
  • Make time for people by improving your own time management.
  • Humility is a gift to yourself as well others.
  • Step down to Step up.
  • Remove ego and encourage compassion in your communication style.
  • Lift as you build.
  • Question everything…from your beliefs to unconscious biases.
  • Stereotyping has no place in your business life.
  • Engage with intention.
  • Encourage a generous behaviour that allows you to share your time, resources, knowledge and expertise freely, without expectation!

In the upcoming episodes, I will share ideas, methodologies and creative solutions that I have been experimenting with and have been using effectively within my own businesses.
