Ellen McIlhenny – Smart and savvy exit – Season five recap.
PROFIT RADIO..."Grow With Us"
Well, it is the last show of the season and the last show of the year. It has been my great pleasure to be your host of the new revamped show The Smart and Savvy Exit. I love the topic of planning your small business exit because I live it everyday in my work as a fractional CFO. I have seen the results of failing to plan (bad), and planning to the end (good). We’ve talked about the team that can help serve you as you plan for exit. We’ve also discussed such exciting topics as business valuation and the importance of knowing your numbers. No, Really, to the true entrepreneur, those should be exciting topics.
Today, I want to spend our time together revisiting the topics we covered since our first Smart and Savvy show on November 3rd so if anything interests you, you can certainly check it out on the podcast.
2020 is a year that many will be glad to see “gone”.
For me, it has been a year of discovery. Discovery about how resilient we can be in the face of unimaginable obstacles. If, one year ago someone would have told me what we were in store for in 2020, I believe I would have completely shut down and said, “I can’t.” Sometimes ignorance is bliss. Not knowing what was coming, I was able to adapt as things happened. With the help of a good coach and some very helpful friends (other small business owners) we were able to navigate and come out stronger.
The key to my success this year was my community of like-minded friends. That’s why now more than ever the Community of Commerce we offer at IBGR is important to any small business owner. Our businesses more than any have felt the effects of the shutdowns more than any. Try us out. The most important thing I learned this year is that together we are stronger.
