IBGR.Network - PROFIT Radio. Everything a business owner needs to start, grow or exit a business. GROW WITH US.

Introduction
In this week's episode we discuss the continuation of clarity. In a Dynamic Partnerships, it is imperative that you have a clear understanding of who does what, in other words “Who is the captain of your ship?” And how do you get to work this out. Often partners can get quite lost in this decision and in some cases it can have an impact on their level of each individual's significance. Deciding this needs clarity, feeling safe and good communication.

In this week's episode I talk to Dynamic Duo Richard and Siobhan Miller from Crisp and Co, Richard also happens to be one of the on air talent hosts here at the IBGR.network. Having honest conversations about what it is like to be doing Business and Life together. We discuss their secret sauce to their success, why it works, from playing to each of their strengths, to appreciating each other's roles and valuing the input they both have in the business, to perception.

Dynamic partnerships can set you ahead of the game and create massive gains if set up well. So is it genius or a recipe for disaster? In this episode I feel it is definitely a stroke of genius.

Show Objective
Today I am having a conversation with Dynamic Powerhouse Richard and Siobhan Millar who chose to do Business and life together.

You will walk away with some insights and each will share one of their tips in segment 4 which might be surprising and not be what you thought it could be. So stay tuned in throughout the entire episode.

What you need to know:
  • Work out who is going to be in charge of what?
  • Figure out what your super powers are and use them, I this case Richard is the creative brain and ideas man and Siobhan can interpret the data in the business including financials extremely well, by Richard knowing Siobhan is across this as well as managing the people it allows Richard to be the best version of himself
  • Appreciate the input both provide to the business, allow growth and success to come in whichever way it needs to
  • How to deal with perception
  • There is no need to micromanage

What You Need to Do
  1. Clearly identify what your super powers are
  2. Ask good questions, appreciate each others skills
  3. Have fun in your business
  4. Set time aside for you and your partner
  5. Allowing each other to be who each individual is
  • What Richard said about Siobhan, she is the Einstein and Givenchy in one and
  • Siobhan acknowledges Richard is limitless and has great appreciation for this

Siobhan’s tip: Don’t set too many boundaries  as you might need to break them, go a bit with the flow.
Richard’s tip: Absolute openness and honesty is key to ensure both parties know where they are at.
